A bean pie is a sweet custard pie whose filling consists of mashed beans—usually navy beans—sugar, butter, milk, and spices. Bean Pies are commonly associated with soul food cuisine. Additionally, they are associated with the Nation of Islam : its leader, Elijah Muhammad, encouraged their consumption in lieu of richer foods associated with African American cuisine, and the followers of his community commonly sell bean pies as part of their fund-raising efforts.

    The pie was not very tasty. It was a small amount of pie filling and the crust falls apart when cutting. I could taste the bean shell in the pie which was turn off

    The pie tasted more of beans than spices or custard. I was looking for some close the NOI bean pies. This was not that. I was not pleased with the flavors.

    I love Ali’s bean pies! As kid growing up in Philly, bean pies were my favorite and my aunt used to make them fresh. Ali captures that home made taste and always delivered fresh.

    Not all bean pies are created equal, this pie is delicious!! The perfect amount of custard with a delicious flaky crust. I previously got get my bean pie fix from a brother selling near my local metro but during Covid I haven’t been able to so finding this site was a lifesaver. The pie came quick, I believe I got the email my order was processed 2 days after the order and my pie showed up the day after that.

    What a treat! And congratulations on creating a classic and great-tasting bean pie. We received the well-packaged product after only a few days.     Pie was delivered in a new and clean box from the Post Office. It was well wrapped and the pie was not broken. Of course, the pie was very delicious and I have already eaten it.

    I ordered 2 -8inch bean pies, yesterday I received 1- 6 inch pie, I was charged extra for 2 8 inches pies, and haven’t received the 2nd pie yet, tried to call number on package and on website no answer. I will never buy from this company again.

    Greetings, This was a very, very good bean pie. Flavorful all the way through! However, I'd like to suggest offering one with a cream cheese icing. Now that would give your pie a 5-star rating.
